The romance of Fresnel light.

Lighting designers have long been in love with the special quality of Fresnel light. As the great Jean Rosenthal wrote, “it has a soft edge, a sense of brilliance and an enormous range. It is suitable for interior settings, where not only does it furnish a beam of light, but its fuzziness bounces all around and makes a kind of haze in the air.” Only a Fresnel has what Rosenthal recognized as that “unique combination of softness and sparkle.” Lighting professionals want the controlled washlight and soft focus area lighting you can only get from barn-doored Fresnels. Now you have that Fresnel effect and functionality and more, in a Source Four.

Broad lamp range and quick change.

With ETC's Source Four Fresnel, you choose the lamp wattage that best suits your particular application and energy requirements – from 375W to 575W to 750W lamps. And when you need to relamp a Source Four Fresnel, ETC's clever new design makes your work easier than ever. Our innovative socket and access door let you change out the lamp from underneath the fixture – without having to break focus, saving time and trouble.

High performance, lower wattage lighting power.

We've combined the best of our acclaimed Source Four HPL lamp technology with the singular optics of a traditional Fresnel. (Streamline your fixture lamp inventory with a single source – the HPL.) ETC's Fresnel gives you the acclaimed light output and energy efficiencies of a Source Four and the lighting characteristics that only a Fresnel optical system can provide. We've combined this classic system with a special ETC dichroic reflector design, enabling the HPL 750W Source Four Fresnel to equal the lumens output of 1000W Fresnel fixtures.
